I mean, if people like RPGing and stuff its not that hard to join...I mean, come on...and also, the people who HAVE joined have done nothing so far to help me make my website better...THe only one who HAS helped me is Kitsune...*sighs again* Ah well, people just don't know how hard it is to have a website...

Attracting members is rather difficult, unfortunately. One way you get members is by advertising a lot. Also, while it is unfortunate, people tend to visit sites that already have a lot of members. This makes it even harder for new sites to gain members. As someone who has also tried to create forums, I can tell you that the one time I really had an active forum was when I advertised it on another site that I frequented. All of my buddies checked it out and began to visit that site as well. (Alas, that site also became inactive after it was temporarily closed...) This is probably the best thread I've found when it comes to the "how to build a successful site" threads. It might not apply to this site as much, as it is a guide for roleplay forums. However, that thread--and for that matter, the site (RPG Underground) itself--is rather helpful when it comes to forum building.
